Business days

No public-holiday database is bundled. Add any holidays or closures you need.

Key features

  • Counts available business days with both endpoints included in the range.
  • Lets you choose any weekend weekdays, starting with Saturday and Sunday by default.
  • Maintains a custom list of holidays or closure dates to exclude from calculations.
  • Moves up to ±1,000,000 business days after the start within an explicit finite iteration guard.

How to use

  1. Choose Count business days or Add/subtract business days.
  2. Enter dates, choose weekend weekdays, and add any custom excluded dates.
  3. Check the stated inclusion rule and review the business-day count or resulting date.

Examples

  • Measure working days until a deadline

Apply your organization's weekends and closures to count available days including the start and deadline.

  • Find a date N business days later

Move from the day after submission while skipping configured weekends and custom excluded dates.

Privacy

Dates, weekend settings, exclusions, and results are calculated only in your browser and are not sent or stored elsewhere.

Requirements

No changing public-holiday database is bundled; add the closures you need. All seven weekdays cannot be weekends, the absolute business-day offset cannot exceed 1,000,000, and date traversal stops at 10,000,000 iterations.

Common questions

Are public holidays excluded automatically?
No. Holiday calendars vary by country and year, so this tool only excludes the dates you add yourself.
Does the calculation count the start date?
Range counting checks and includes both endpoints. Adding or subtracting starts from the next or previous date; an offset of zero returns the start unchanged.
