Privacy

Recognition runs in the browser's Tesseract runtime. After consent, selected language data may be downloaded from the Tesseract data package on jsDelivr and cached in browser storage.

Requirements

Each selected language needs roughly 1.5–3 MB of data. Blurry images, complex layouts, and handwriting can reduce recognition quality, so check the extracted text.

Common questions

Which languages can it read?
You can select English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, or combined Korean and English. The required Tesseract language models are downloaded first.
Does it reproduce tables or handwriting exactly?
No. It returns recognized plain text. Complex layouts, blurred characters, and handwriting can be reordered or misrecognized.
