Random String, Number & Hex Generator

Random String, Number & Hex Generator

Generate up to 100 random values with 1–256 characters using alphanumeric, numeric, hexadecimal, or custom character sets.

Generated strings
All processing stays in your browser, and values are generated with crypto.getRandomValues.

Key features

  • Supports alphanumeric, lowercase hexadecimal, digits-only, and custom character sets.
  • Sets the random portion to 1–256 characters and creates 1–100 values at once.
  • Deduplicates custom characters so every distinct character has equal selection weight.
  • Uses crypto.getRandomValues and rejection sampling to avoid modulo bias.
  • Adds optional prefixes and suffixes and copies values individually or as a list.

How to use

  1. Choose the length, result count, and character set.
  2. Optionally enter a custom pool, prefix, or suffix.
  3. Copy individual generated values or the full list.

Examples

  • Generate test identifiers

Combine a fixed prefix with random alphanumeric text for test IDs.

  • Create random hex values

Generate lowercase hexadecimal strings at a chosen length and quantity.

Privacy

Random values are created in your browser; QuickKit does not store the character pool or results.

Requirements

Prefixes and suffixes are outside the selected random length; review format and security requirements for the value's intended use.

Common questions

What happens to duplicate characters in a custom set?
Duplicates are removed so every distinct character in the pool has the same selection probability.
Are prefixes and suffixes included in the length?
No. The 1-to-256 setting applies only to the random portion; prefix and suffix are added around it.
