Common questions

Can a bcrypt hash be reversed to recover the password?
No. Bcrypt is one-way. The Verify tab only checks whether supplied plaintext matches a hash.
What changes when I increase the cost?
This tool supports rounds from 4 through 15. Higher values take longer to create and verify, so choose using performance measurements from the target environment.
