Requirements

The output is a new data file containing only the active worksheet. Formatting, formulas, charts, macros, images, comments, validation, hidden state, and external links are not preserved. Formula-like CSV strings receive a safety prefix.

Common questions

Can I anonymize only selected columns?: Yes. For each column, choose keep, replace, stable pseudonym, fixed value, or blank.
Can the same source value keep the same pseudonym?: Within a column, identical source values receive the same pseudonym. A fixed seed also reproduces mock data made with the same settings.
