Excel & CSV Merge and Cleanup Workbench

Excel & CSV Merge and Cleanup Workbench

Merge CSV and XLSX sheets by header or position, clean, split, or join selected columns, then download a new file or ZIP.

Add CSV or XLSX
Files are read and transformed only in this browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.
Paste table
Paste a tab-separated table or CSV. Values remain text, including identifiers.

Output is a new data-only file. Formatting, formulas, charts, macros, images, and comments are not preserved or executed; formula-like CSV strings are exported safely.

Key features

  • Merge CSV and XLSX sheets or pasted tables by column position or exact header names.
  • Apply trimming, selected-key deduplication, and blank-row removal only to the result you review.
  • Split a column by a delimiter, join selected columns, or create a ZIP of up to 200 value-based files.
  • Review original and result previews before downloading a new data-only CSV or XLSX.

How to use

  1. Add CSV or XLSX files or paste a table, then choose the worksheet to use from each file.
  2. Choose the merge method and optional cleaning or column transformation while reviewing the result preview.
  3. Download a new CSV, XLSX, or value-split ZIP.

Examples

  • Merge monthly files

Align several CSV or XLSX sheets by header name and combine them into one data file.

  • Clean a distribution list

Remove whitespace, duplicates, and blank rows, then split files by a selected value into a ZIP.

Privacy

Reading, merging, cleaning, and exporting happen only in your browser. Original files and results are never uploaded to or stored on QuickKit servers.

Requirements

Input is limited to 20 files, 20 MB per file, and 40 MB in total. Output is limited to 50,000 data rows, 100 columns, 1,000,000 rectangular cells, and 200 split groups. New files contain data values only: formatting, formulas, charts, macros, images, and comments are not retained or executed. Formula-like CSV strings are exported safely, while text identifiers such as 001 are preserved.

Common questions

Can I merge sheets with headers in a different order?
Yes. Exact-header merging aligns same-named columns, unions columns found in only one sheet, and leaves missing values blank. Blank and duplicate headers are rejected.
Does this change my original file?
No. Settings are reversible in the workspace and every export creates a separate new data file or ZIP.
Are split filenames safe?
Yes. Invalid filename characters are replaced and collisions receive a suffix, so ZIP entries remain distinct.
