There are no active contact points.

Key features

  • Displays active contact points with distinct colors and numbers.
  • Shows each pointer's type, ID, area-relative coordinates, and pressure value.
  • Counts current contacts and the maximum concurrent contacts in the session.
  • Also displays pen and mouse input received through Pointer Events.

How to use

  1. Press the test area with a finger, pen, or mouse.
  2. Move multiple fingers together and inspect contact count, coordinates, and pressure.
  3. Release the contacts and reset the maximum count if needed.

Examples

  • Check multitouch contacts

Place several fingers on the area and inspect current and maximum concurrent contact counts.

  • Inspect pen or touch coordinates

Move pointers and review their area-relative coordinates, IDs, types, and exposed pressure.

Privacy

Pointer events and measurements remain in the current page's browser state and are not sent to a server.

Requirements

Multitouch behavior depends on touch hardware and the browser's Pointer Events implementation. Many devices do not expose real pressure and may report zero or a fixed value.

Common questions

Why is pressure zero or constant?
Many touch devices do not expose real pressure to the browser. This tool only displays the PointerEvent value clamped from 0 to 1; it does not measure pressure independently.
Is the maximum contact count saved?
No. It lasts only for the current page session and is cleared by Reset or a page reload.
