URL Encoder, Decoder, and Query String Parser

URL Encoder, Decoder, and Query String Parser

Percent-encode or decode text and complete URIs, then split URL query parameters into decoded keys and values.

URL encoder / decoder
Encode text into a URL-safe format or decode it again. All processing happens in your browser.
Query-string parser
Paste a full URL or query string to split it into key/value pairs. Values are decoded automatically.

Enter a URL or query string above to display its parameters in a table.

Key features

  • Uses encodeURIComponent/decodeURIComponent for individual values.
  • Uses encodeURI/decodeURI for complete URIs while preserving reserved characters.
  • Can move a converted result back to input and reverse the operation.
  • Parses full URLs, paths, or bare query strings into decoded key-value pairs.

How to use

  1. Choose Encode or Decode and the URI method.
  2. Enter text and copy the converted result.
  3. Optionally paste a URL into the query parser to inspect parameters.

Examples

  • Insert a safe query value

Percent-encode an individual parameter such as a search phrase.

  • Inspect URL parameters

Expand a complex URL into decoded key-value entries.

Privacy

Percent encoding and query-parameter analysis run in your browser.

Common questions

How do full-URI and component encoding differ?
Full-URI mode uses encodeURI and preserves reserved characters such as :, /, and ?. Component mode uses encodeURIComponent and encodes reserved characters too.
Are repeated query parameter names all shown?
Yes. A full URL, path, or query string is parsed into decoded key-value entries in input order.
