Fill Existing PDF Forms | Text, Choices, and Flattening

Find and fill existing AcroForm text, checkbox, radio, and dropdown fields, with optional safe flattening.

Key features

  • Lists existing AcroForm text fields, checkboxes, radio groups, and dropdowns automatically.
  • Loads current values and choices while showing read-only fields without modifying them.
  • Reports unsupported buttons, signatures, lists, and other field types by name and leaves them unchanged.
  • Can flatten supported values onto pages when no unsupported fields need to remain interactive.

How to use

  1. Choose a PDF no larger than 50,000,000 bytes or 200 pages that already contains form fields.
  2. Enter text and update the listed choices, then opt into flattening if needed.
  3. Review unsupported items and font limits before downloading the filled PDF.

Examples

  • Complete an application form

Fill name and contact text plus consent checkboxes in an application that already uses AcroForm fields.

  • Answer a choice-based questionnaire

Review and change existing radio or dropdown options in an interactive PDF without uploading it.

Privacy

Field discovery, value changes, appearance generation, and output creation all happen in the browser without server transfer or storage.

Requirements

New fields cannot be created in a flat PDF, and XFA forms are unsupported. Text appearances are limited to Latin characters and symbols in the standard PDF font. Flattening is skipped when unsupported fields must be preserved.

Common questions

Can this add fields to a scanned blank form?
No. It only fills interactive fields already defined in the PDF and does not create new input or signature fields.
What does flattening change?
It fixes supported field appearances onto the pages and removes their interactivity. If unsupported fields exist, flattening is skipped so they are not removed.
