Add a PDF Watermark | Text or Image with Opacity

Apply one text, PNG, or JPEG watermark to every PDF page with a shared position, opacity, size, and rotation.

Key features

  • Uses either one text label or one PNG or JPEG image as the watermark.
  • Controls opacity, text font size or image-width percentage, and rotation from -180° to 180°.
  • Offers nine common positions combining left, center, or right with top, middle, or bottom.
  • Uses rotated bounds and existing page rotation to place the watermark in its viewer-visible position.

How to use

  1. Choose a PDF no larger than 50,000,000 bytes or 200 pages.
  2. Select text or a PNG/JPEG image up to 20,000,000 bytes and adjust its display settings.
  3. Click Download watermarked PDF to apply the configuration to every page and save a new file.

Examples

  • Mark the status of review documents

Repeat DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL at low opacity in the center of every page before distribution.

  • Add a logo or stamp to a packet

Place a transparent PNG logo or JPEG image in a corner and apply its size and rotation across the document.

Privacy

The PDF and watermark image are read and composited only in browser memory; neither is uploaded to or stored on a server.

Requirements

PDF input is limited to at most 50,000,000 bytes and 200 pages. Text supports Latin characters and symbols available in the standard PDF font, and PNG/JPEG watermarks are limited to 20,000,000 bytes. Per-page settings and removal of existing watermarks are not supported.

Common questions

Can each page use a different watermark?
No. The first version applies one text or image and one shared set of display settings to all pages.
Can this remove an existing watermark?
No. It adds a new overlay and does not identify or erase text or images already embedded in PDF content.
