Key features

  • Decodes QR codes from images added by selection, drop, or paste.
  • Prefers the rear camera and scans live video up to five times per second.
  • Displays and copies the decoded text with its input source.
  • Offers an external-link action only when the result is an HTTP or HTTPS URL.

How to use

  1. Add an image or choose the Camera Scan tab.
  2. For camera mode, allow access and point the camera at the QR code.
  3. Copy the result or verify the URL before opening its link.

Examples

  • Decode a saved QR image

Select, drop, or paste a screenshot or photo, then copy the decoded QR contents as text.

  • Check a physical QR code with a camera

Point an available camera at the code, review whether the result is a web address, and choose whether to open it.

Privacy

QR decoding from images and camera frames runs in your browser. Opening a decoded external link navigates to that website.

Requirements

Camera scanning requires an available camera, secure context, browser support, and user permission, and is not available on every browser or device. Image scanning does not require camera access.

Common questions

Can I use it without camera permission?
Yes. Image scanning does not need camera access. Permission is requested only when you start live camera scanning.
Will a decoded link open automatically?
No. An Open Link action appears only for HTTP or HTTPS results, and navigation happens only when you choose it.
