Online Screen Recorder with Optional Audio

Record a browser-approved screen, window, or tab and optionally add available system audio and microphone input.

Preview
A preview will appear here after recording starts.

Select Start recording, then choose a screen to share.

Key features

  • Records a screen, window, or tab chosen in the browser sharing dialog.
  • Requests system audio when the selected source and platform support it.
  • Can add a microphone track after a separate permission request.
  • Provides pause, resume, live preview, result playback, and download.

How to use

  1. Choose the system-audio and microphone options and start recording.
  2. Approve a capture source in the browser sharing dialog and record it.
  3. Stop, review duration, size, and MIME type, then save the file.

Examples

  • Record a product walkthrough

Capture a browser-approved tab or window and optionally add microphone narration before saving a playable file.

  • Document steps that reproduce a problem

Record the sequence, pause and resume as needed, then review the result's duration, size, and format.

Privacy

Shared display and audio tracks are recorded with MediaRecorder in your browser; the finished recording is not uploaded to a server.

Requirements

A secure context with getDisplayMedia and MediaRecorder support is required. System audio may be absent depending on the chosen tab, window, or screen and the browser and OS; microphone audio requires separate permission. The download filename ends in .webm or .mp4 according to the recorded MIME, which is also displayed.

Common questions

Is system audio always included with the screen?
No. System audio is included only when the browser, operating system, and selected tab, window, or screen provide it.
Can I choose the download format myself?
There is no manual format selector. The browser chooses a supported MediaRecorder MIME type, and the file is saved with a WebM or MP4 extension.
